ABOUT BME
The Department offers interdisciplinary innovative, relevant, and research-led courses in Entrepreneurship and Management for undergraduate and postgraduate students across disciplines in BIUST. Against this background, the department serves to ensure that there is the integration of these critical management and entrepreneurship skills in Science, Engineering and Technology curricula. This is critical in ensuring that BIUST produces science, engineering and technology future leaders, researchers and innovators who have a good grasp of management and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills required to tackle real-world challenges. As such, all our course offerings seek to equip BIUST graduates with the relevant knowledge, skills, attitudes and requisite capabilities needed for formal employment as well as self-employment. The overall aim, therefore, is to ensure that upon completion of their studies, BIUST graduates can effectively take up and perform management and entrepreneurship roles in formal and non-formal employment sectors and most importantly to be able to create viable and sustainable business ventures or become innovative intrapreneurs in established business organisations.
