The project’s main objective is to provide access to affordable solar energy solutions for rural communities in Sub-Saharan African rural communities. The project is being piloted in Jamataka Village, Botswana. The project team comprises three (3) international Industry Partners, and two Academic Partners: BIUST (Botswana) and Ulster University (United Kingdom). The BIUST team comprises academics from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Centre for Business, Management, Entrepreneurship, and General Education. The team from the Centre handles the socio-economic impact aspects of home solar systems in the Jamataka village.
